I was very against earlier GoPro cameras. Other action cameras on the market used to offer more for less. But that is no longer The case. The Hero 5 caught my eye and I pulled the trigger when the 6 came out. I am glad I did.

I am still blown away when using this camera. This is my 4th action camera and it is by far the best one I have owned.

I was contemplating getting the Yi 4k but the GoPro offers water/freeze/dust/drop proofing without a case. That was the deal maker for me.

I've taken it hiking in 46C weather, snorkeling in the ocean for hours on end and even hung it out a truck while drifting sideways doing 100kmh on sand dunes. The stabilization and footage it gets is amazing. The app is also very awesome and easy to use. You can quickly get your photos and videos on your phone with no hassles. The app uses Wi-Fi so file transfers are very fast.

10/10 no regrets. Looking forward to using it more.

Best camera for Reelsteady GO

Style: Refurbished HERO6

I bought this mainly for drone flying/racing and for use with Reelsteady go stabilization software. The stock stabilization software is bad compared to Hypersmooth in the GoPro 7 and 8, but this refurbished model is great if you plan on using Reelsteady go and dont' want Hypersmooth. It's super durable as well. I dropped this two stories onto concrete (drone crash) and no damage, only a few little scuffs on the housing which is made of soft rubber/plastic.
